Simi is our Featured Artiste of the Week

X3M Music multiple award-winning singer, Simisola Ogunleye popularly known as Simi is our featured artiste of the week. 

Few days ago, Simi released her highly anticipated third album “Omo Charlie Champagne, Vol. 1” on her birthday, it had guest appearances from Adekunle Gold, Patoranking, Falz and Maleek Berry. The project was compiled with 13-tracks with more expertly crafted soulful pop bliss from a golden voice.

 According to Simi –  When I was compiling this album, I knew I wanted to dedicate it to my daddy, Engr. Charles Oladele Ogunleye – who passed in 2014. I’m blessed to have come this far.

Simi’s project has song like “Jericho“, featuring Patoranking and “Mind Your Bizness” featuring Falz  has been doing well in Nigeria iTunes Top 100. Also, other songs from her album has been dominating the airwaves in Nigeria.

Brief Biography of ‘Simi’;

Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye is a Nigerian singer and songwriter born in April 1988, popularly known with the stage name Simi. She came into spotlight after she released singles like: Tiff, Love Dont Care and Jamb question. She also did a collabo with Falz on his hit song”Soldier” which has continued to get massive airplay and accolades.

The 28 year old songstress is a graduate of Mass communication from Covenant University. She wrote her first tune at the age of 10 and started singing at the age of 16. Due to her love for arts, she started singing and dancing as teenager and as a member of the teenage church choir.

The Ondo state indigene is the only girl in the midst of four boys and the last born of four children; as a result of being the only girl in the midst of four boys, Simi used to be a tomboy while she was growing up. She was brought up by a single mum because her parents were separated when she was only 9.
