Can we wish for a better music week than the one we had last week?
With Runtown and Patoranking deciding to bless us with albums on the same day, Skibii, Zlatan, Harmonize, DJ Tunez, Ycee, Kwesta and others releasing hot bangers, last week was nothing less than exciting.
We decided to make this week’s list a top 10 rather than our regular top 5 list. As a result we have gathered the top 10 songs released in the week ending May 25, 2019.
Check out the list below, as we anticipate more hottest releases this week.
10. Pepenazi – Fine
Talented singer, Pepenazi came through with his single which he titled Fine.
This single is coming after his well received single ‘Amazing‘
The beautiful piece was produced by Kriz Beatz.
9. Ycee – Gold ft Beatsbykarma
ANBT head-honcho, Ycee dropped his single which he titled Gold.
In the single he featured Beatsbykarma who also produced the song. The song tells us to appreciate and value oneself.
8. Kwesta – Khethile Khethile Ft Makwa, Tshego AMG, Thee Legacy
South African rapper, Kwesta dropped his debut single for the year dubbed Khethile Khethile.
This is his first single for the year, after tying the knot with his long time girlfriend Yolanda Mvelase.
However, he featured producer and songwriter, Makwa, Tshego AMG and Thee Legacy.
7. Zlatan – This Year
Alleluyah Boiz Entertainment frontier, Zlatan released yet another single which he titled This Year.
Zlatan is one of the most featured act currently in the industry and he is not done yet as he releases back to back hit.
On this tune, he said he will continue to make money ‘This Year’ while others are sleeping.
In addition, the song was produced by Rexxie and mixed and mastered by Spyritmyx.
6. DJ Tunez – Gbese Ft Wizkid, Blaq Jerzee
Star Boy’s official Disk Jockey, DJ Tunez is on our list again with Gbese.
In this tune, he linked up with Star Boy himself, Wizkid and Producer Blaq Jerzee who also produced the single.
5. Runtown – Emotions
Soundgod Music boss, Runtown dropped a single titled Emotions few days to the release of his Ep.
As the title suggests, “Emotions” is a lovely-dovey tune that finds the singer in his feelings over a love interest.
On the infectious Spellz-produced instrumental, Runtown was unabashedly vulnerable as he repeatedly pledge to give it his all to the girl that has caught his heart.
4. Patoranking – Black
Amari Musiq dancehall artiste, Patoranking released a poetic single titled Black off his album ‘Wilmer’.
On the tune he talks about the hatred between blacks and the greed in the hearts of the blacks for each other. ‘Black hating black is the reason why the growth is taunt’
3. Harmonize – Never Give Up
Konde Boy, Harmonize dropped an inspirational single which he dubbed Never Give Up.
The song Never Give Up is a true life story, he encourages his fans to be committed in what they do no matter the circumstance and ‘Never Give Up’.
2. Skiibii – Daz How Stars do Ft. Falz, Teni, DJ Neptune
Talented singer, Skiibii came through with another single titled Daz How Stars Do produced by Jaysynths Beatz.
In the song, he teams up with Sweet Boys Ceo, Falz, Dr Dolor songstress, Teni and Eva Blazin, DJ Neptune.
The single was mixed and mastered by renowned sound engineer, SWAPS.
1. Runtown – Tradition
Runtown takes the number one spot on the list with his song titled Tradition off his EP.
Tradition puts Runtown’s writing prowess and vocal dexterity on a laudable display and offers an impressive degree of sonic versatility. It is everything you expect plus more.
